2007 Parade of Homes Showcase House

Richard Cable was approached by the Huntsville-Madison County Home Builders Association early in 2007 to design the Showcase Home for the Fall Parade of homes to be built in McMullen Cove by renowned luxury home builder Barry Phillips.

The Parade home is built with the help of dozens of members of the Association as a fund raiser for the organization. In this instance Richard was able to create a fantasy home working with builder Barry Phillips, Estelle Phillips, who is one of the most successful and respected real estate agents in Alabama, and with Rhonda Pugh, the director of Marketing for Enfinger Steele Development, the developer of McMullen Cove.

Richard and his team were able to select every detail for the home from the brick and mortar color to the faucets, floors, lights, etc et. al.

We also had the opportunity to furnish the key areas of the home for the Parade when the home was completed.

It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to show the Huntsville community details that had yet to be seen in a home of this quality and price range in North Alabama.

Richard's vision was to create a striking exterior with curb appeal unmatched in the area. We chose soaring roof lines with european style architectural shingles, custom wood shutters and arched windows, real stacked stone and weeping mortar bricks, and lush landscaping to set the house apart.

The interior is a mix of European styles using Versailles patterned natural stone floors, barrel vaulted ceilings, real wood beams, rustic pine flooring, and contrasted with state of the art electronics and appliances.

No detail was overlooked from the floor to the ceiling in every room of this exquisite home.

This parade home was the most expensive parade home to date for the home builders association and sold prior to completion and before the parade ever started.
