Nirvana Swing Chairs...

We are now
carrying the Nirvana Swing Chair. The Nirvana Swing is
designed to swing silently and effortlessly along the
natural path of an arc. A gentle, periodic push on the
small handles will allow the chair to swing
continuously. The period of motion, designed to be
slower than the resting heart rate, creates a calming
and peaceful sensation that provides unprecedented
stress reduction and an overall sense of well being.
Preliminary studies show that the Nirvana Swing
produces a reduction of approximately 10% in heart rate
and blood pressure after only two minutes of swinging.
You have to try it to believe how comfortable it is!

We are very excited that Home Accents Today (a
furniture industry magazine) has chosen us as one of
their Top 50 Retail Stars for 2008. We are the only
store in Alabama to be selected! They base their
decision on store design, merchandising, marketing, and
creativity in general. Having my own stores has always
been a dream of mine and it is truly an honor to be
recognized as an innovative leader in these areas. When
we built the store it was in a brand new complex and I
was presented with an empty concrete and steel box to
work with. I had the opportunity to design the space as
I envisioned it and i played with lighting ideas,
colors, and spatial arrangements to create an open loft
like space with 25 foot tall ceilings. It was scary,
fun, and exciting all at the same time. Thanks to Home
Accents Today for choosing us this year!

Model Homes!!! It's time again for the
Huntsville/Madison County Homebuilders Association's
Spring Parade of Homes. Richard Cable Interiors is a
proud member of the Home Builders Assoc. I personally
work with several of the Home Builders creating the
look and style for their spec. homes and for custom
homes for their clients. Many people are surprised to
learn that my design firm is involved so heavily in new
home construction. My working with the builders entails
selecting everything from the color and style of the
brick and stone on the exterior to the interior
finishes, colors, trim, moldings, cabinets, and
everything else you can possibly choose to create the
style of a home. I have even worked with builders to
create outside living spaces with fireplaces, water
features, and courtyards. Several of our home builder
partners are showcased in this weeks Parade of Homes.
Mark Harris' homes are featured in Mount Carmel by the
River and in the Midtowne on the Park neighborhood in
Research Park. We have worked with his sales director
Rhonda Pugh to create furnished 'idea homes' in both
neighborhoods. We also recently completed a furnished
model home for the townhomes at Midtowne on the Park
being developed by Streetside Communities, a subsidiary
of Enfinger Steele development. Our work can also be
seen at the new Westin Hotel Residences sales model on
the sixth floor of the new four star hotel. I am also
in the process of working with Danesh and Diana
Foroughi of StoneCraft Homes on a million dollar home
in the Preserve at Clayton Pond on top of Green
Mountain. It is open during the Parade as a home in
progress. Danesh's homes feature "healthier living
environments" and the latest in state of the art
building technology and insulating techniques.
